Having worked on comics like Batman and Robin and the more recent Savage Hawkman, there's a good chance you've seen something by Philip Tan. While his style hasn't always been a fan favorite, it's hard not to respect an artist who listens to the readers and works hard to improve, as he told Newsarama last year:

"For a long time, I had a lot of criticism from fans and readers about how inconsistent my artwork is. Quite frankly, I had to go through a lot of searching for a look that I'm comfortable with and happy with," Tan told Newsarama. "It has been a learning process for me since I started my career. You saw me experimenting in the work I did on Green Lantern, Outsiders, Batman and Robin. They were all stages of learning and growth for me as I experimented to find that look I wanted."

We happen to be fans of Tan's covers and pin-ups, so here is a collection of his best work. Including one of the coolest Thor sketches around, his absolutely awesome Batman #700 pin-up, and even a Berserker from Gears of War.
