Sometimes you catch yourself imitating art you enjoy, and that's exactly how Carlos D'anda's awesome Captain America came to be...
I did this one or two years back just for the hell of it, BUT I did it AFTER Wilkins had done a "War Bonds" type piece with the Cap (for SDCC I think!)
... anyway, Con ended, time passed and I forgot about Dave's piece, THEN my brain went: "HEY, I got a good idea, why don't we do Cap jumping off a WW2 bomber??? Sure Brain! why not!!!" ... little did my brain know that it was TOTALLY APING Wilkins piece subconsciously... I drew it, put it away (just found it again recently) and then one day... checking out Dave's stuff I went DOHH!!!
