Three years ago Pixar animator Everett Downing made a New Year's resolution to draw a new superhero every day for a year. Though he didn't meet his goal the first year, he kept going, and as of this moment he's at 289.

I got into a rut, I wasn't drawing enough and a friend told me I was over-thinking things. I just needed to do something I was really into that wouldn't require too much thinking. I started thinking about designing superheroes and the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to do it. I threw the gauntlet down and decided to draw a super every day.

Wired did a great interview with him about his project here. Below are a few of my favorites, but all his heroes are available on his 365 Supers site.
